Cheer Boys!! English Sub & Dub

About Cheer Boys!!

Looking for background on Cheer Boys!! (チア男子!!)? This slice of life and sports series by Brain's Base (2016) starts out like this. The setup: Haruki Bandou was born into a family of Judo marital artists and expected to continue the family legacy. But he’s about to trade Judo for... cheerleading?!

Further in, when his childhood friend Kazuma Hashimoto invites him to join the BREAKERS, a male cheerleading club, Haru finds himself amongst a quirky group of boys. Can this squad of slightly odd and cute members make a breakthrough in college athletics?

In a slice of life series like this, small, quiet moments and character warmth are the main appeal. Haruki Bandou (Yuuki Yonai) and Shou Tokugawa (Yuuki Ono) are two of the characters you will meet early. Think of it as a pick for viewers who want a calm, character-first watch. With 12 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal
