Rinshi!! Ekodachan

About Rinshi!! Ekodachan

Rinshi!! Ekodachan (臨死!!江古田ちゃん) arrives as a comedy anime by Zero-G and Ascension (2019), and the premise is easy to summarize. In short: The anime centers around the titular Ekoda, who works various jobs, and explores the metropolis nightlife. While she has a boyfriend, she is more into casual relationships than taking it seriously.

Along the way, she considers popular girls (which she labels "birds of prey") her natural foe. Each episode is also split into different segments, with the first 3 and a half minutes of the animated show, followed by live-action interviews with the creators, and then showing the drawing of the short.

In a comedy series like this, timing, character chemistry and running gags decide whether it lands. Ekoda-chan (Haruka Ishida) and Onna (Sayako Toujou) are two of the characters you will meet early. It will appeal most to viewers who want something light between heavier series. At 12 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.
