Natsume's Book of Friends Season 3

About Natsume's Book of Friends Season 3

If you are hunting for a new drama series, Natsume's Book of Friends Season 3 (夏目友人帳 参) deserves a look (2011). The setup goes like this. At its core: Takashi Natsume has always been shunned by those around him because of his enigmatic ability to see yokai. Before long, he came into possession of his grandmother Reiko’s “Book of Companions,” and together with his bodyguard Nyanko-sensei he set out to return the names of the yokai contained within it.

Soon after, since then, he’s found a home with the Fujiwaras and surrounded himself with allies at school. Little does he know he's about to be dragged unwittingly into further trouble...

As a drama title, character writing and emotional payoff matter more than spectacle. Takashi Natsume (Hiroshi Kamiya) and Madara (Kazuhiko Inoue) are two of the characters you will meet early. This one is best suited to viewers who prefer story and feelings over flashy action. At 13 episodes in total, it is easy to plan a viewing schedule.
