About Bavi Stock
Bavi Stock (バビ・ストック) arrives as an action anime by Kaname Production and Studio Unicorn (1985), and the premise is easy to summarize. At its core: The universe has fallen under the cruel military rule of the despotic Ventika empire. However, a rebel police state planet known as G.P.P has discovered the existence of a little girl called Muma, that could well hold the key to bringing down the Ventika empire onbravice and for all.
Also worth knowing: Despite her frightening potential, Muma is suffering from memory loss and is incarcerated in a maximum security prison. Charged with the assignment of busting Muma out and protecting her, the G.P.P send one of their most hardened elite, Agent Kate. Upon completing her mission successfully, Agent Kate is assigned yet another task immediately after.
In an action series like this, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Kate Lee Jackson (Keiko Toda) and Lus Mila (Kazuko Yanaga) are two of the characters you will meet early. This one is best suited to viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 2 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.
Production & Appeal
Kaname Production and Studio Unicorn is the studio behind Bavi Stock, and its direction shapes everything from character design to motion. Because it leans on action, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 4.8/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. Voice casting, including Keiko Toda as Kate Lee Jackson, adds to the appeal for fans who follow seiyuu. Released in 1985, it competed with that season's other new series for attention.
