NARUTO×UT

About NARUTO×UT

Looking for background on NARUTO×UT? This action and comedy series by Studio Pierrot (2011) starts out like this. What the story covers: UNIQLO clothing stores throughout Japan will be offering a Naruto x UT Original DVD with all-new animation on January 1. The DVD will contain an original Naruto anime video set to an exclusive version of Mayonaka no Orchestra, the upcoming song by the Japanese rock band Aqua Timez.

As things develop, a limited number of the DVDs will be offered as presents to people who buy UNIQLO's Naruto graphic T-shirts online or in stores.

With action at the core, fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. Think of it as a pick for viewers who like fast, high-impact fights. With 1 episodes in total, there is enough room for the story to develop.

Production & Appeal

Animation is handled by Studio Pierrot, so the studio's house style defines how NARUTO×UT looks and moves on screen. The action focus matters here: fight choreography, pacing and sound design carry much of the weight. With a 6.9/10 score, it is more of a niche pick than a universal crowd-pleaser. It aired in 2011, which makes it easy to place in the wider anime calendar.
